Using Advanced Installer

This article was written using the latest available version of Advanced Installer (6.9.1). When you first open it you will be presented with the following screen.

You need to select 'Professional' as your project type as a minimum, and in this instance leave the 'Use Wizard...' checkbox unchecked.

Basic Information

With your project type selected you now need to add some basic details about the project to the main product details page.

The options on this page are pretty self explanatory, but I'll draw attention to the Update URl box. Advanced installer provides an easy way to make applications self updating. The url that you enter here is where the application will look for potential updates.
